Cooperation in Social Work

The NGO has been working on various social issues and trying to solve them from the beginning. They have protested against the violence against women, fight for child rights, solve the problems in ration distribution, etc.

Tea Garden Initiative

Work started in the tea gardens of North Bengal in 2003. Kendra is actively working to prevent the starvation deaths of tea garden workers. At the same time, the NGO is working very actively to solve the problems of the workers in the closed tea gardens.

Awareness Campaign

Over the years, the center has hosted 16 workshops and training camps in Maheswarpur, Badu on food, health, education, healthy livelihoods, and healthy culture. About 2110 social workers have actively participated in these programs. Kendra has also helped to make the general villagers and social workers aware of various issues, especially in each district.

Legal Aids for Victims

Our organization’s secretary discussed the importance of women who have struggled for the upliftment of their gender. Our members have delivered solidarity perspective songs and coordinate us in this workshop. We think that social justice with women should be done by incorporating rights under the constitutions of India. It is essential to fight against equality and justice for women and therefore to bring changes in the law. There should be a common law for all kinds of women belonging to different religions. For women to be able to fight for their rights, the first step is to attain knowledge. Therefore women and girls should educate themselves and especially girls should be motivated for education so that they say no to the early child and forceful marriage and break out of the cycle of continuous discrimination.

Health Camp

Jana Sanghati Kendra has organized health camps to deliver services to rural people for more than a decade. Through this health service, the people of rural Bengal are getting doctors and necessary medicines at their fingertips.  Specialist treatment opportunities are available in this health camp for common diseases, skin diseases, gynecological diseases, etc. We also help poor people to get other health-related services at a low price through contacts. Also helped many critical patients to complete their surgery and helped them through cash and medicines.

Staff Welfare Fund

From the year 2013, a Bank account has been issued for the welfare of Staff, and also a Fund has been created.
